Double Flutes The double flute is a very old traditional North American instrument. The oldest documented double flute is carbon-dated to 900 B.C. and is in the collection of the Smithsonian. It was found in Northern Mexico. Troy has reinterpreted the ancient double flute and has become a master of the genre. |

non-traditional materials quite effectively within the traditional
context, as in the Blackfeet Nation's
welcoming warriors by artist Jay Laber. |
